NEWays has been registered as Section 8 Company, whose objective is to promote fields of arts, commerce, science, research, education, sports, charity, social welfare, religion, environment protection, or other similar objectives.
NEWays has following Registrations and Certificate.
- 12A Registration: The donor can receive tax exemption on the donated amount if the trust or NGO where the donation is done is being registered with Section 80G. When the donor donates from their income towards the trust or NGO, they can get tax exemption on that amount.
- 80G Registration: 80G is a certificate that exempts you part or fully from paying taxes, if you have made donations to charitable trusts or section 8 company or organizations that are registered to offer you exemptions from taxes.
- CSR-1 Certificate: Form CSR-1 is a registration form for getting CSR funding by implementing agencies from the corporates. The Form CSR-1 is termed as Form for “Registration of Entities for undertaking CSR Activities. The Form mainly consists of two parts, first part is relating to the information about the entity who intends to undertake CSR activities. Second part of Form CSR-1 is certification by practicing professional.

As the name of the organization connotes it has new ways for the northeast region by linking their produce to the correct markets or bettering their produce through the way of training and upgrading. Finding avenues in B2B businesses is an opportunity that cannot be discounted. The products under NEWays portfolio are grown through traditional farming practices and are organic. This natural source available is an untapped resource. These include a range of food like haldi, honey; turmeric etc; to home use products like handcrafted supari plates, brooms, jute products amongst some. The mention of North east is incomplete without the original handloom and silk. Some of these products are sold as raw material whereas some are processed to finished goods, these are then sold to retailers and ultimately to consumers. Currently the organization works with a hand few artisans and ensures a good price through a very basic market linkage model. But the underlying potential of the product is visible as certain retailers considering repacking and reselling at a premium price.
