Internship

  1. We  propose  to  bring  or  present their  creations  artisans/farmers from various regions of the north-east. With each such person we need a team of four persons, one each from Management, Technology, Mass Media and Social-work disciplines from amongst college students.
  2. We propose that Colleges participate in this campaign directly and indirectly through its students and faculty. NEWays will provide a suitable kit for all participants in addition to providing food and reimbursing travel related expenses.
  3. We are confident that participation in itself will be a unique and invaluable experience in itself.
  4. We propose to hold this event over four evenings (5PM-9PM) on days suitable to all concerned parties.
  5. We would need to engage with the participating students a few days earlier to prepare them for their defined roles.

Concept Note for Students on Social EDP

This is an initiative to develop the seed of entrepreneurship , help and support artisan to develop their productivity and sell their products we propose as follows :-

A 45 mins presentation about the prospects and opportunity to your students and see their Interest levels and with your support and guidance launch the certification in EDP program in social entrepreneurship.

The following are the advantages to all stakeholders .

  1. Students of the urban colleges will get an opportunity to look at entrepreneurship as an option after their studies
  2. Rural outflow and urban rush on search of opportunities can be replaced by local education of entrepreneurship to students
  3. We can take students to give them the first hand feel of the opportunity and later enrol them for Entrepreneurial training programs for 50 or 100 hours certification program at a nominal cost to students which we can mutually decide ,
  4. The entire topics from formation of company to sale of goods will be covered and that too practically .
  5. We can provide a joint certification between college Neways and the knowledge partners in this area.
  6. Rural Tourism and Urban tourism by way of exchange programs can be arranged where the students visits from different colleges can be arranged to the villages and the village artisan will visit to Mumbai colleges and conduct the fair / mela and also have a local sightseeing.
  • This initiative will bring a good revenue to the rural areas and to these villages and also the local talent can be used for multiplying the productivity and sale of the local goods.
  • Our students will be getting a first hand feel of the how the production is done and also how the market can be developed.
  • An win win proposition to all the artisan , the students and the local bodies will be supportive to all the stakeholders .
